Six years ago today I ...

M

arried my best friend. Happy Anniversary Chris! I love you.

It is amazing how time flies. Six years later ... yet it seems like just yesterday.

Chris (AKA - "The Hubby") worked today, but I of course had the day off (one of those perks of being a teacher). I got up early and had a quick breakfast of eggs, toast and OJ before heading to the spa for a 90 minute massage.

(2 scrambled eggs with hot sauce)

(Whole wheat toast with PB and J)

Lunch was a little platter with 2 organic samosas, 1 tomato, 2 dried figs, and goat cheese:

After work the hubby and I went to pick up OUR NEW CAR!!!!! For the first 5 years that we were married we only had 1 vehicle, and it worked really well. Last year we bought a second car, and this year we decided we wanted something with more room. We are going to sell the car that we bought last year.

Our New Car - 2007 Mazda 5

The hubby will most likely drive that, and I will drive my LOVE, our Lancer:

We only drive white cars. We are white car snobs. Hehe.
The car we are selling is white too.

We went for dinner to The Creek in Cathedral Bistro. We enjoyed some wine, along with two appetizers:

(Calamari with blackberry salsa)

(Blackened scallops)

The hubby had chicken:

And I had beef:

The hubby wasn't feeling very well this evening, so we picked up dessert and went home to snuggle on the couch.

Did you know that Dairy Queen has mini blizzards now??!!!!!!!!

BEST news I heard all week.

The hubby had a small Oreo, and I had a mini Georgia Mud Fudge. I couldn't even finish all of the mini!! They need to make an ultra mini!

What kind of car do you drive? Do you have a colour preference?

Happy Anniversary! Your wedding photos are too cute!

I think its hilarious that couples tend to stick to one car color. We are the same, but only with silver. He drives an Acura TSX and I just bought my first brand new car: Honda CRV.

Aww Happy Anniversary, I love your wedding photos! And mini-blizzards sound amazing! I think those would be the perfect size for me because a small is always just a little too much!

Aww, happy anniversary!

Okay, so funny story: I drive a silver Dodge Caravan. Yep, I'm a 22 year old with a minivan. I had a GORGEOUS blue Corolla that my mother borrowed one day and completely totalled...and that was what she bought me as a replacement. Thaaaanks, ma...

Happy anniversary! Your dinner looked so delicious! I never had blackened scallops, did they taste burnt at all?

Persoannly, I like silver cars. But we are about to sell our car (moving to another country) and live without a car for a while. Let's see how long that will last. :)

I used to drive a Mazda, until I totally demolished it with one swift accident. Ka-BOOM!

Anyway. Happy anniversary, Jolene! I'm LOVING the picture of you lying on the piano! Sexy! ;-)

Ha - my husband's parents only ever buy white cars too! Must be something I'm missing out on...

Totally stoaked about the mini blizzard...we went there once this summer and I asked for the "child" size which I swear they used to have, but they said no! I hope my local one has this mini version!

I didn't know they make a mini blizzard. Where have I been? Happy Anniversary. You were a gorgeous bride. I just got a Honda Accord. It's dark gray and I love it. :)

congrats on your anniverary! (and your new car!) since moving to Australia, we haven't had a vehicle. (not that i mind really. it's easy to get around with public transport here.) my car is sitting somewhere in norther alberta with my mother-in-law though...probably missing me :)

oh how i miss dairy queen! chocolate extreme or brownie batter blizzard (yes, i have a sweet tooth.) good thing they came out with mini size, i used to be slightly embarrassed ordering the kid size.

A belated Happy Anniversary!

I love the Georgia Mud Fudge. Although learning of it and blizzards in general helped put on an extra 20-30 pounds last year. I'd order a large every time :-(
