I've been sportin' a heavier coat than I would like to be wearing in April ...

Saturday was a beautiful day, even with the snow.  I was happy.

On Saturday evening we went out for dinner with some friends to a place called Creekside Bistro.
My meal wasn't too great, but the appetizer was nicely done.

Pita wedge with guacamole and blackened a scallop
On Sunday morning I downed a fresh juice before going to watch the hubby finish his 1/2 marathon.
He ran it in 1:37, finishing 20th out of 414 people!

WAY TO GO HUBBY!!

I helped him refuel after by taking him out for all-you-can-eat-sushi.

How was your weekend?  What was the highlight?
What do you have planned for the long weekend coming up?

Love the coat even if it is about time to retire it!
The highlight of my weekend was going to my college town to see friends. So fun.
I don't get a long weekend, but I'm looking forward to having a weekend off from the PT job and spending time with family on Sunday.

The pita with the guac and scallop looks SO good! Last time I tried scallops, they were tasteless and rubbery...looks like that's not so with the appetizer you had. =)

As far as weekend plans go, nothing too exciting. My mom's bday party + Easter family get-togethers. Kind of sad I don't get to go on egg hunts anymore. =( BUT I have considered setting up an adults-only Easter egg hunt w/ friends. $10 bills, quality chocolate, useful knick-knacks -- that sort of thing. =)

Dang - your husband is fast! Nice work. And all-you-can-eat sushi sounds fabulous! Great way to celebrate a very successful race!

The highlight of my weekend was probably when I rang the doorbell when i got to my brother's on Sunday. My nephew answered the door and instantly hugged me. That doesn't always happen. I hadn't seen them for 3 week so I guess he must have really missed me! Best feeling ever!

I'm never impressed with Creekside unfortunately...So we haven't been for quite some time...

Kudos to your hubby! Knowing sushi will follow 21 K would make me finish in that time too ;)

Our weather is looking up though! Should be great by the weekend!

We got another sprinkle of snow here today in Saskatoon. Wish it would end! Sounds like it will be a nice weekend, though.
