Long Weekend of Love: Part 2

On Valentine's day we headed out to Flip for breakfast.  This is one of our favourite restaurants in town, and it didn't disappoint.

I had the 5 a.m. salad, and Christopher had the dirty rice etoufee.

For dinner on Valentine's evening, we made pan seared salmon with wild rice in a coconut curry broth.  It was perfect in every way.  We followed this recipe.

We'll be making this again ... soon.

How was your Valentine's day?  What did you do?

Yum, that looks delicious. Your plating is beautiful! You two could open a restaurant. ;)

We had a low key Valentine's Day! I made an Indian Stew and had a leftover birthday GF cupcake and Phil had ice cream. We watched a movie and snuggled up on the couch. It was great. :)

I need to try that salmon and coconut rice recipe. It looks so good. I made one of our favorites for Valentines Day, Libyan lamb, carrot, and olive tagine. I will hopefully get around to blogging the recipe soon, but it is so so good. After that we just snuggled on the couch and watched a movie. It was lovely.
