Saturday Night Delight

After breakfast on Saturday we spent the rest of the day visiting, laughing and cooking at home.  For dinner we steamed some lobster tails:

And then used them in a rich, creamy, lobster mac and cheese:

On the side we served an easy corn salad, made with corn, jalapenos, lime, cilantro, and red onion.  It was cool, crisp and refreshing, and paired so well with the mac and cheese.

For dessert, we had the chocolate cake that I made earlier in the day.

The cake was gone in a day and a half.

That's how things go in this household ...

How was your weekend?  What did you do?

What a truly luxurious, decadent spread! Of course, the cake looks fabulous. It's so much fun to see your torte-like, single layer take on it. :)

Lobster makes everything better. Cheese makes everything better. That means that lobster mac and cheese can cure the world of any and all of its problems. Everything in this post makes my mouth water.

That all looks so delicious! I haven't had lobster in a long time so seeing pictures of it makes me crave it! Now that it's lent I need to use that as motivation to make more seafood as I can't have meat on Fridays.

We spent our weekend in Mexico where ate a lot of fish!!
