Weekend Things

One evening last week we shared a poutine for supper, but instead of regular gravy, we topped the fries and cheese curds with Swiss Chalet sauce (a decision I don't regret).

We did a lot this weekend!  On Friday we drove to Saskatoon to see Elle King and the Dixie Chicks in concert.  We were super impressed with Elle King, and although the Dixie Chicks weren't as country as we were hoping for (like we remember them), they put on a pretty good show.  We didn't get out of the venue until about 11:30 p.m., and we still hadn't had supper.  We picked up from Pizza Hut and took it back to our hotel.

We ate the leftover pizza for breakfast, and then went to visit my mom for the day, before hitting the highway home in the late afternoon.

On Saturday evening we met up with friends at Korea House for dinner.

This morning Christopher cooked up a hearty breakfast.

We relaxed all day, and ordered in Vietnamese food for dinner.

How was your weekend?  What did you do?

We really enjoyed Elle King, the rest of the concert was...meh...glad we went, but won't be in a rush to see them again.

The Dixie Chicks were at the MN state fair and the reviews said they weren't very country and that they were better as country artists. ;)

Sounds like a delicious and full weekend! We had a fun weekend, too. Friday night we grilled with some friends, Saturday night we stayed in and I made zucchini boats, and then on Sunday I spent most of the day outside doing fun things like biking and going to the farmer's market. I need a longer weekend, though, as I was not ready to return to work today!!
