Happy Halloween!

On Saturday afternoon we headed to Moose Jaw, which is a city about 45 minutes away.  Christopher's band was playing a Halloween show, and we knew it would be a late night, so we booked a hotel for the evening.  We checked into our hotel, and then went out to grab some dinner at Bobby's Place.

After dinner we headed to the massive venue, which was packed full of costume-wearers ready to dance to the five bands that would be playing.  Lunar Lander Dance Commander was on 4th, so we didn't get back to our hotel until after 1:30 a.m..  We're not used to late nights out, especially not two in a row.

We had a fun night though!

Once we were back home on Sunday we made a chicken stock, letting the bones, veggies, and aromatics simmer away for about eight hours.

We turned that into a chicken soup for our lunches for the start of the week.  We also whipped up a Thai curry/ stir fry for dinner.

Tonight we ordered in Pizza Hut, which is our Halloween tradition.

Happy Halloween!  We're ready for the trick-or-treaters!

How did you spend Halloween evening?

You guys look awesome in your halloween costumes! I bet kids loved seeing you all dressed up! We did not dress up but we handed out candy last night. We each had leftovers and watched the Vikings game. I crocheted while watching the game which made it a more relaxing experience (the Vikings played awfully so it was not a fun game to watch).

That chicken stock sounds amazing! And the thai curry looks soooo good! yum!

I was actually feeling really crappy on Halloween so I spent it curled up in bed with the porch light off ignoring trick or treaters ha ha. Our nieces and nephew did stop by for a visit though, they all looked so cute.
