We had a little celebration switcharoo.
Our birthdays aren't for another week-ish, but last night Christopher's parents had us over to celebrate early with a delicious seafood feast. We snacked a bit to start:
Next up was clam chowder soup, which was so good:
The main course was lobster & shrimp pasta, with scallops, shrimp, and asparagus on the side.
Dessert was the most amazing carrot cake ever. So incredibly moist!
We laughed and visited with Christopher's parents past midnight; we were just having so much fun. They sent us home with some fabulous birthday gifts, and leftovers too - what a wonderful evening. We sure are spoiled!
Since today is Thanksgiving, we have the day off, and are spending it cooking and relaxing. No turkey day for us this weekend, but we're headed back to the parents' place next Sunday for a family get-together/turkey feast.
How was your weekend?
If you're Canadian, how are you spending Thanksgiving?

That seafood feast looks amazing!! Clearly the two of you aren't the only ones in your family who love to cook!
Yum, that seafood feast looks amazing! Like Amber said, you two clearly come from foodie families! That carrot cake looks amazing, too. I should see if I can find a GF carrot cake recipe because I have so many carrots from my garden and that'd be a great way to use some of them!
My weekend was quite busy but it was a great weekend. I spent quite a bit of time outdoors. It was sunny and the temps were mild so it was a great time to soak up some fresh air.
