After breakfast we walked to our corner coffee shop, Naked Bean, to grab a couple of beverages. Christopher got the Canadian latte, and I had an iced coffee. We snagged a cookie too!
We then headed for a walk around the lake to check out the festivities in the park near our home.
We had fun waving our flags around and amusing ourselves.
We walked all the way around the lake, and then to the grocery store on our way home. The rest of the day was spent in the backyard. We made some steak wrapped enoki mushrooms for an appetizer:
And turkey legs to go with our salad for dinner:
How was your Canada day?
American readers, what are you planning for the 4th?

Sounds perfect! We had a GREAT Canada Day too, spent lots and lots of time outside and just totally relaxed. Perfection!
Sounds like a wonderful Canada Day - and it looks like the weather was perfect! I am heading up to my parents lake home for the 4th and can't wait! I'm bringing a corn & bean salsa and will also make my layered greek dip. I'm all about the appetizers, clearly.
