Family BBQ

We started our week off with a little family get together last night.  All day there was a storm watch, and it was getting cooler, windier, and darker ... but as I had hoped, it passed us by, and we were able to hang out in the backyard for the evening.  We snacked inside until everyone arrived:

And then we went out back and BBQd some burgers.  We enjoyed those with a few sides:

Dessert was store-bought cookies, and homemade burnt grapes.

Christopher spent the evening tossing a football around with the kids; it was pretty cute.  Our nephew Giovanni started football this past weekend, and we're looking forward to seeing his team play a game this fall.

Once the mosquitoes came out, we moved inside and visited a while longer before calling it a night.  It was a nice way to spend a Monday evening.

The forecast for the week is looking a little rainy, so I might get some stuff done around the house, do some reading, and some prepping/ planning for the fall in the next couple of days.

Do you have any fun plans for this week?

That's great that the weather turned out ok so you could hang out in the backyard! Your meal sounded perfect! I was traveling for work last week and I was also sick with bronchitis so it was kind of a tough week for me. :/
