Celebrating at the In-Laws

On Saturday evening Christopher's parents had us over for dinner to celebrate our marriage.  They are so sweet, and I am so happy to now officially be part of the family.

There was bubbly in the living room first (and some unexpected fabulous prizes too) ...

Then we moved into the kitchen where we had snacks ...

And a perfectly cooked lamb dinner ...

We visited and laughed for hours, while listening to some great tunes.  It is clear that Christopher's love of music is genetic.

We had such a wonderful time, and it was definitely the highlight of the weekend.  We're looking forward to a few more little celebrations this month, and honeymoon part 2, which is just over four weeks away!

How was your weekend?  What did you do?

Thanks for the breakfast recommendations. Due to the timing of my son's hockey games, we weren't able to try Fireside, but the buffet at the Doubletree was fantastic. I was surprised, actually, at how fresh the food was and their wide selection of foods. Looks like they've done some fairly extensive renovations at that hotel compared to what it used to be like. Looks like you guys enjoyed a fabulous spread, too! Congrats again :)

Aww seems like a great celebration! What great in-laws. Sadly, I had to work this weekend. :(
