Thursday Things

1)  We ate this for dinner last night, because we've eaten a lot of junk in the past week or two:

2)  We went to the fair on Saturday and shared a bunch of junk food (I also had a corn dog that is not pictured).  I love corn dogs ... like, a lot.

3)  On Sunday evening we had a fire in the backyard, and Christopher may or may not have eaten 5 hotdogs.

4)  We just booked a little vacation for October!  We're headed to Vancouver!!

5)  Breakfasts lately ...

Sometimes just fruit for breakfast ...
Best potatoes ever!
Egg & bacon bagel sandwich; yogurt with cacao nibs, chia seeds, granola and bee pollen
Christopher told me about a year and a half ago that he sucked at making omelets ...
Well for a 1 egg omelet, this looks pretty darn good!  (Yes, we shared a 1 egg omelet ... we're not always gluttons) ;-)
6)  We're going out for dinner with my friends Matt and Alissa tonight, and I am so excited!  I haven't seen them in over 2 years, because they were living in BC.  Actually, I don't think I've seen them since their wedding.

7)  One of my strongest food memories from childhood is of shelling hundreds of pea pods from the garden, and eating then eating a delicious bowl full of the sweet, raw peas.  I saw some at the farmers' market yesterday and just couldn't resist.  I've been eating them by the handful.

What are your Thursday things?

Corn dogs are amazing! I found a vegan one at a random food truck in Austin and flipped out (and ate it, of course). Also, PEROGIES. And pizza. These here are some of my favorite foods. Yay Vancouver, have you ever been? As for the fresh peas thing, I have that same childhood memory...we would eat impossible amounts of fresh peas. SO GOOD.

@ Allysia - did you know Dad's Organic market had vegan corn dogs in the freezer! They were sooooo good! I've only been to Vancouver once (I was a kid there for a gymnastics competition) and I didn't do much or see much, and don't remember anything.
