Incredible Evening

Last night we had a couple of friends over for dinner before heading out to one of the best concerts I've ever been to.  Dinner started out with some bacon wrapped, stuffed jalapenos.

We also had fried chicken:

Mashed potatoes:

Homemade bread:

And corn:

All together now ... all together now!

This is Donny.

He plays guitar in a band with Christopher.  Everyone say "Hi Donny!":

We were in a bit of a rush and I didn't grab a picture of the dessert ... but it was a cinnamon roll cake.

After dinner we went to see Sir Paul McCartney in concert.  He was a little late getting on stage, but we kept ourselves entertained.

When Paul took the stage he completely blew my mind, song after song, and even played some of my favourites that I wasn't expecting him to play (All Together Now; I've Just Seen a Face).

It was incredible, and I am so happy that we decided to get tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

What is your favourite Beatles (or Wings or Paul) song?  If you could see one person or group (alive today) in concert, who would it be?

I so badly want to come over for dinner. The food you guys cook always looks SO amazing!!

Mumford and Sons put on an AMAZING once in a lifetime concert that we were lucky enough to attend back in May. I would see them again in a heartbeat!

Pretty much all of my FB friends were talking about that concert! Also I laughed at Christopher's "more cowbell" shirt, ha ha. Also tell Donny he is eating corn very inefficiently. :) The sad thing is that I probably wouldn't have gone to the McCartney show even if I was in Regina - though I know I would've regretted that decision! I've just never been a Beatles fan (I know, blasphemy). Did he mainly play his own songs, or some Lennon ones too?

Wow, that is an amazing meal and sounds like an amazing concerts. I love it when artists that we already have high expectations for exceed those expectations! My favorite Beatles song is Let is Be or Here, There, Everywhere.

I would love to see Ingrid Michaelson or Mumford and Sons in concert.
