Wonderful Wednesday

I was up at 7:30 this morning and out of the house by 8:15.  First up was breakfast at The Mercury.  

Next was the farmers' market, and iced coffee, mmmmm!  I bought a bunch of beets and zucchini at the market, as well as some lamb sausage.

This evening we BBQd again.  We had duck breasts (fat scored; marinated in 1/4 cup balsamic, 1/4 cup veggie broth, 1.5 T fresh ginger, 1-2 T honey), a bit of the lamb sausage and ginger noodles.

The duck was perfectly cooked, with a nice, crispy skin.

To drink we juiced pineapple, pear, ginger and beet.

This was a great dinner!  On the BBQ tomorrow ... maybe fish or something vegetarian.

My favorite thing to grill is probably steaks or burgers! They just seem to taste better off the grill! I also love grilled veggies, especially zucchini, bell peppers, and red onions. Yum.

Wonderful Wednesday indeed! Also beet juice always looks so pretty, love it. And we haven't really BBQed much all summer, but I do enjoy the standard stuff, like veggie burgers and veggie skewers.
