A Night Out on the Town

Last night we went out to celebrate Christopher's dad's birthday (which was last weekend).  We wanted to take the parents out for a night on the town, in style.  They are so good to us, and do so much for others - they deserve to be spoiled.  We picked them up in a stretch-limo, and headed downtown to The Capitol, a classy restaurant with live music.

The parents, Leisa and Victor, ordered escargot to start, and we had the mushroom toasts, which are absolutely incredible.

Christopher's dad enjoyed the lamb shank for his entree, Mom had the snapper, Christopher had pizza, and I ordered the duck confit

The dishes were perfectly cooked, and absolutely fantastic.  I'd order the duck confit again and again; it was that good.

We had such a fun time eating, visiting, laughing, and enjoying the live music that started at 9:00.  Our server was excellent, and very attentive.

It was so nice to spend time with two people that we love.

We sure like getting dressed up for a classy night out!

What did you get up to this weekend?

That sounds like such a fun night out! I can see a strong resemblance between Christopher and his mom!!

My weekend was great! We stayed in and grilled on Friday night. On Saturday I went to a crafting workshop with some friends where we made wood signs and then in the evening I made dinner at Phil's mom's (lentil enchiladas and mexican rice) and we played scattergories. Sunday was an unplanned day which is what I needed! I made chicken tikka masala in the crockpot which was soooo good!
