You've heard of double-dates ... well, we had a septuple-date, with six other couples that we often get together with.
It was fun to mingle around and taste all the different olive oils and vinegars.
On Saturday morning we went out and got flowers to plant in our pots.
Then later in the day we picked up a cake, and headed to Brewsters to celebrate Christopher's mom's retirement! Friday was her very last day of work, and that is pretty exciting!
We had to sneak out of the retirement party for a couple hours, as Christopher's band was playing at the Cathedral Arts Festival.
Immediately after the show we headed back to the retirement party to visit and get some baby snuggles from our niece. We shared a pulled pork sandwich with salad, and a poutine for dinner.
It was also my brother-in-law Steve's birthday, so we were celebrating that along with the retirement.
This afternoon we went to our friends' Matt and Alissa's home to celebrate Matt's birthday. There were walks, snacks, ice cream, and a lot of little people ...
BBQd burgers and salad for dinner:
We had a nice afternoon and evening visiting with friends and enjoying the warm spring weather.
How was your weekend? What did you do?

Congrats to Chrisopher's mom on her retirement - that's a huge thing to celebrate! Looks like you guys had a fun weekend full of lots of good food! Our weekend was great, too. We went to a baseball game with Phil's mom on Friday night to celebrate her birthday and then headed to the lake on Saturday morning. The weather was nicer than it usual is on Memorial Day weekend so we spent a lot of time outside, ate lots of great food and played lots of games!
