Looking Forward

We're at the beginning of the new year, and I have a sneaking suspicion, it's going to be a pretty amazing year.  I don't tend to make resolutions per se, but I do make plans and set goals in order to make each year even better than the previous.  These are just some of the things I'm looking forward to:

This weekend - Practicing my swing at indoor golf, and cooking a turkey dinner.

This month - Eating at Swiss Chalet!!  I'm so happy we have this restaurant in town again.  Yes, I love Swiss ChaletDon't judge.

Next month - Skiing, snowshoeing, and vacationing in Denver, Colorado.  Also, meeting one of my all-time favourite bloggers, Diana!

This spring - Celebrating life while vacationing in Mexico with my honey.

This summer - Our friends' wedding (Christopher is in the wedding party); hitting a real golf course for some more authentic practice; another epic vacation - we're thinking a maritime province; BBQing a lot; spending lazy weekday afternoons in the backyard sippin' bevvies, laughing and visiting.

This year - Celebrating.  If you know Christopher and I, or have been following long enough, you'll know that we love to celebrate.  We celebrate the big things, the little things ... all the things.  We already have occasions/events coming up that we plan to celebrate, but more are guaranteed to come along.  Life is too precious and too short to not enjoy, savour, and relish in every moment.  Soak it up my friends!

What are you looking forward to this weekend, this month, next month, this spring, summer or year?

(* Umm, so about some of the pictures in this post ... uh, yeah, don't ask).

That is great that you have so many things to look forward to. And I think it is good to celebrate moments in life, both big and small. Life is short, so we should celebrate!

This weekend I am looking forward to going to Charleston, next month I am looking forward to a girls weekend with 2 of my best friends, this spring I am looking forward to a trip to Florida to visit family, this summer I am looking forward to attending a good friend's wedding in Iowa, and this year I am looking forward to *hopefully* finding a job back in Minneapolis or Chicago.
