Sukiyaki Burgers and Homemade Poutine

The other day we roasted a chicken just so we'd be able to make gravy for homemade poutine.  We made a simple chicken gravy, some crispy fries in the oven, and added shredded, extra-stretchy mozzarella

With the poutine we had sukiyaki beef burgers with a poached egg on top.  We made the sukiyaki sauce with sake, mirin, soy sauce, and sugar, and reduced it in the pan with the cooked beef.  Also on the burgers was caramelized onion, kale and a poached egg.

Pretty much everything is better with an egg on top.

Oooooooh yeah!

P.S. I love poutine.

Do you like poutine?  Have you ever made it at home?

I haven't had poutine for over 20 years, when I went to Quebec on a school exchange. So good, but not so healthy :) The burger looks amazing!

I have never had poutine! It tends to have flour in the gravy so I can't have it due to my gluten intolerance. I would LOVE it, though, I'm sure!!
