On Friday evening we ate kimchi topped hotdogs before heading out to see some live music at the Folk Festival, a three day music event.
Feist was headlining, but the show was a bit of a disappointment, and we left mid-set. On Saturday evening Christopher's band, The Screaming Daisies, played along with some other great bands at a local venue.
Around 10:30 p.m. or so we headed downtown to the Folk Festival to grab some eats (hadn't eaten since breakfast around 11:00!) and to catch the last couple of bands there.
The meatballs and rice from Afghan cuisine (above) were deeeeelish!
It was a great weekend - not many summer weekends left, but I plan on making the most of them!
Do you have a music festival in your city? Do you attend?

That is a bummer that Feist was a disappointing show! Sounds like a really fun weekend, though. Those meatballs DO look delish!
I don't know of any music festivals in the Charlotte area. Minneapolis had a couple, though, as Minneapolis is a pretty big music city!
Too bad about Feist! What was disappointing about it? Hope the rest of folk fest was fun. The only band I really wanted to see this year was Man Man! They blew me away years ago opening for a Modest Mouse show.
The biggest musical festival we have in Philly is a huge free concert on the 4th of July. I don't go because it's a madhouse!
