10 on Tuesday and Perfect Scrambled Eggs

 Ten on Tuesday

1. What’s your favorite color to paint your nails?
Black or dark purple.  Only on short nails though.

2. Do you like to sneeze?
Yes, it feels pretty good.  I don't like it when I can tell a cold is coming on.

3. How often do you fill up your car with gas?
Once a month.

4. Were you named after anyone?Yes.  My first name and each of my middle names are after someone (family).

5. Have you made any good recipes lately?
You bet!  Look here, here, and here.

6. What’s an easy money-saving tip that you use regularly?
I won't put anything on credit that I will not be able to pay off in full at the end of the month.  Credit card companies will not be getting my money!

7. Would you rather have a sore throat or an ear ache?
Yikes!  Neither.  I haven't had an earache before, but it doesn't sound good.  I suppose sore throat, because I know what to expect.

8. Do you have any scars? What are they from?
A couple small ones on knees from little scrapes/ childhood injuries.

9. What are you “known for” in your circle of friends/family?
Liking to cook/bake/entertain/blog.  I don't know ... that's about it maybe!?

10. How do you like to eat your pancakes?
I like to dip them in syrup so that they don't get soggy.

I started my Tuesday morning with blackberry banana oats and a cup of coffee.

Lunch was a turkey sandwich, an orange and a pear, and dinner was veggie chili (Costco) and a slice of toast.

I was excited to come home to a package in the mail!  I have been a long-time reader of The Pioneer Woman Cooks, and finally ordered her book.  I am excited to dig in and make some of her picture-perfect creations.  I find the recipes on her blog extremely easy to follow, and I love how she does step-by-step pictures.

Jolene's Perfect Scrambled Eggs
(It only took me 28 years ...)

Separate the eggs and yolks in to 2 bowls.

Heat the pan, and spray or add 1 tsp butter and swirl around.
Pan is at the right temperature when a drop of water will sizzle when dropped on it.

Dump in the egg whites (they take longer to cook than the yolks) and stir with a wooden spoon until it is white and looks kind of like a snow storm (cloudy/ snowy lines).

Add the yolks and stir in for about 20 more seconds, until still wet and just barely holding together.
Don't over cook!

Sprinkle with freshly ground sea salt and pepper ... and if you are brave ...

Add some of the best store-bought hot sauce around.

What are your answers to the questions above (all or whichever you would like to answer)?
Do you like scrambled eggs?  What do you put on them?

My scars are from soccer. I have 3 from my knee surgery, two big ones on my knee and shin from slide tackling and one on each of my upper hip from raspberries as a result of slide tackling.
I LOVE eggs, but I prefer them sunny side!

I do love scrambled eggs. But I think I've already mentioned I could happily eat breakfast for every meal and be content:)
That veggie chili from Costco looks good...where is it? By the refrigerated soups? Frozen? I will have to look for it when I go there in a week or so.

I loved reading the answers to the questions. It's really neat learning things about other bloggers. I LOVE scrambled eggs...I put ketchup and hot sauce on them. It's a win/win combo in my opinion!

I love scrambled eggs. I usually scramble them with some cheese and put some Frank's hot sauce on them. Yummy!

You are so lucky that you only fill up on gas once a month. I usually fill up about once a week.

Dione,

You can find the veggie chili in the refrigerated section where you would find the pre-made soups, or the refrigerated spring rolls, falafel, etc.

Thanks for reading!
