Hubby's Triathlon and Vintage

H

appy Father's Day to all dads!!!!!

The hubby and I spent the weekend in the Saskatoon/ Pike Lake area for hubby's triathlon, so we will be celebrating with our dads a little late.

Did you miss my Mid-Year Goal Review?
Did you enter my $40 CSN Store Giveaway?

On Saturday morning we woke up early and I had a quick breakfast of yogurt and a glo-bar. We did some stuff around the house, and then headed out on the road around noon. Before leaving the city we had lunch at The Creek Bistro. I had a pork and mushroom crepe with a side salad:

I absolutely love savory fillings in crepes. This dish did not disappoint!

We visited with my mom in the afternoon, and then went for supper with some of the hubby's triathlete friends. We ate at a pasta restaurant called Chianti. I had 2 pieces of bread dipped in oil and vinegar, and a carbonara dish for dinner.

We drove out to Pike Lake last night to sleep in a tent at the campground where the triathlon was taking place.

This morning I had about 1/2 of this breakfast bun:

The hubby ran his Olympic triathlon and achieved a personal best! He came in at 2:38:49 officially. Congrats Chris!

He is doing an half ironman in August - I am very excited for him!

We had lunch at Fuddruckers. I had half of a 1/3 lb. burger, and some fries with cheese dip. We visited some more with my mom and then came home.

I wasn't really hungry for dinner so I just had some tomato and avocado salad:

Later I had yogurt and granola.

I received a beautiful package in the mail the other day. I had ordered a vintage necklace from My Breakfast Shop (owner is Maggie from My Breakfast Blog). I couldn't believe how nicely she packaged the necklace ... I undid the wrap before I remembered to snap a pic:

Are you into vintage stuff? Cars? Clothes? Jewelry?

I love it all.

Ahhh Fudruckers. I haven't been to one of those in a long time. We don't have them here, but we did when I lived in Atlanta. I love vintage jewelry. It's just gorgeous.

I like antique furniture (we live in a very old home so it's appropriate). High fives to the hubs on the race. Mine does tris too, but no half irons in the future.

I LOVE vintage everything. I spend way too much time on etsy looking at little vintage dresses! Most of my favorite pieces in my closet are vintage.

Sounds like it was quite the feast you had this weekend. I got hungry just reading that your husband finished a triathalon!

Wow nice time for your hubby on the OLY! I'm hoping to PR my OLY in 2 weeks too. Now I'll set my unrealistic goal for it to be 2:38:48
:-)
