Weekend Road Trip

We are in Saskatoon this weekend to visit my mom and my grandma.  We got into town late on Friday evening and ate dinner at one of the best Thai restaurants around, Keo's.  Our food was incredible!

I had a tofu, noodle curry, and Christopher had an extremely flavourful pork and sprout dish.  It was really "citrusy" and "cilantroy" - perfect dish to make me want to steal many bites.  And that is exactly what I did ;-)

It had been a long, tiring week, so we were in bed very earlyBreakfast this morning was in the hotel at Aroma.  They have a great breakfast selection, and beautiful presentation.

I was still so tired after not sleeping much this past week, and so I had to have a nap after breakfast. We spent the rest of the day with my mom, and then went for supper to Seoul, a Korean restaurant in Saskatoon.

The menus were on tablets, and they had a call button at the table!  You could even watch videos of how to cook the food - very "techy".

We shared sundubu jigae (spicy tofu stew with seafood and vegetables):

We also had dweagi galbi gui (grilled pork ribs) and dolsot beebimbop:

After supper we went to my grandma's place for a visit.  Tomorrow we'll be spending time with Christopher's family.

How has your weekend been so far?
Is it a long weekend where you live?

So far the weekend has been good! I took Friday off to make it an extra long weekend and yesterday + today is the first time I've had 2 days in a row off of work in 3 weekends! I do have a small work event tomorrow morning so I don't get the WHOLE 4 days off but pretty much and so far it's been pretty rejuvenating. Lots of getting stuff done around the house and relaxing so far!

You guys have such fun food adventures!

Weekend has been fairly unexciting - little guy is not been sleeping good for awhile now, which makes for a fairly unexciting life as we are so tired!!! But wouldn't change it for anything!!

It is a long weekend here which is so nice. I had big plans for today being a really productive day, but I upgraded my iPhone and it has been a huge headache as my contacts did not transfer over and I am still trying to solve that problem... So it has not been the best day off, but at least I have the day off and can spend a good chunk of it dealing with this issue; if i was working, I wouldn't have time to deal with it!
