The other day we roasted a chicken just so we'd be able to make gravy for homemade poutine. We made a simple chicken gravy, some crispy fries in the oven, and added shredded, extra-stretchy mozzarella.
With the poutine we had sukiyaki beef burgers with a poached egg on top. We made the sukiyaki sauce with sake, mirin, soy sauce, and sugar, and reduced it in the pan with the cooked beef. Also on the burgers was caramelized onion, kale and a poached egg.
Pretty much everything is better with an egg on top.
