Signs of Fall

When we were BBQing deer sausage the other day I noticed that some brown leaves had already fallen.  I was a little heartbroken, as it seems that winter just ended.  I've also heard that Starbucks has brought out their pumpkin spice lattes.  It's happeningI'm not ready for fall.  Not at all.

The deer sausage that we enjoyed was given to Christopher by a coworker.  Thanks Shannon!  It was sooo good!  We had rice with beets & other veggies on the side.

Most of our meals were cooked outside last week, except for the fettuccine with mushroom Alfredo sauce that we had on Thursday.

I've been a little uninspired when it comes to breakfasts lately.  My average breakfast for the last couple of weeks has looked like this:

It's just some vanilla yogurt with chia seeds, PB and granola, a piece of toast, and a smoothie with unsweetened almond milk, vanilla, mixed berries and 1/3 banana.

I had an exhausting week last week, but on Friday we took off for a little weekend get-away.

How was your weekend?  Are you seeing signs of Fall already?

I have not seen any signs of fall around these parts, besides the return of Starbuck's PSL. I don't think we will get cool fall temps until mid-October to November. It's been HOT and sunny here lately but I am not complaining as we had such little hot, sunny weather this summer since we were plagued by rain! I hope you can hold onto summer just a little bit longer!

I hear ya. The other day we were out walking and it was like this one tree just suicided, there was a massive pile of leaves under it, where nothing had been 24 hours earlier. I haven't even really had a chance to enjoy my patio! But at least there likely won't be snow here by Halloween, ha ha. Also PS, I happily eat "boring" breakfasts 99% of the time (though yours really doesn't sound boring to me!).

It's been pretty chilly here these last few days - that's been about the only sign of Fall so far!
