The hubby and I have always celebrated Valentine's Day low key, mainly because February 13th is actually a more special day for us. We started dating on February 13th, 13 years ago. We still do something special for each other around this time each year, but we don't fight the crowds at a restaurant or theater.
Instead, I had the delivery man bring some thick Houston's pizza. The hubby has been craving this for a while and I knew he would like the surprise.
He had a surprise for me too!
I had a romantic date for the rest of the evening with my thesis. Instead of staring at my sweetheart, this was my companion for the evening:
Off to enjoy a pink grapefruit and some trashy TV before bed.
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
How did you spend Valentine's Day?
Are you single, dating, engaged, married?

Happy "dating anniversary" to you two! I'm currently banished to my room because my husband has something up his sleeve that he's working on in the living room. So it's too early to tell. Haha! =)
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! We had a mellow Valentine's Day too....we like to cook together and then either watch a movie or good tv together. It's way better than wiating in lines at a restaurant!!!
that's so sweet you both surprised each other!
Happy V Day

Aw, I love low-key celebrations like that. We did the same - made spaghetti and meatballs :)
That's awesome that you guys started dating the day before Valentines day...and 13 years ago, yet! Does that mean you guys hooked up in high school? I think I remember you mentioning being in your late 20's. I can't imagine still being with my high school boyfriend(s), ha ha! Hope both days were enjoyable for you guys despite being busy! :)
I am single and I spentmy valentine's day studying for the CFA!!
Happy "Date" Anniversary. :) my hubby and I went out to eat, early, but we just went to the Red Robin. I like it there and it is casual and has great fish and chips. :) Then we came home to a casual night watching a movie. R&R
Happy dating anniversary! I'm married and the hubby and I are celebrating this weekend with dinner and dancing. We're so excited!!
I spent Valentine's Day working! It's just another day around here. :) After 11 years I guess it doesn't matter so much anymore.
I tagged you in a post today!! :)
beautiful flowers! I bet hubby loved the pizza too ;)
I am currently dating :D
I can eat pizza daily...seriously. Anyways, I think Vday is more for bf/gfs, new couples, or for single ladies cause we didn't do jack crap. I came home and Glenn surprised me with dinner and ice-cream but that's the extent of our romance.
