Kitchari

I had never heard of kitchari until I saw a recipe for Gingery Red Lentil and Quinoa Kitchari on a blog.  It looked so good and was full of wholesome ingredients.  I bookmarked it in my must-make list, and yesterday was the day!

I served it with a spinach salad and it made a perfect dinner.

You can find the recipe here.

Goodbye cookbooks, hello blogs!  All the best recipes come from blogs!

Where did you find the last recipe that you made (book, TV, blog)?

I have never heard of kitchari either, but it sounds interesting and looks delicious. Plus, I am a huge fan of quinoa!

I think my favorite recipe is Angela's Spinach Artichoke dip: http://ohsheglows.com/2011/02/05/spinach-artichoke-dip-party-menu-planning/

That is so true, I rarely look at my cookbooks anymore because I see so many blog recipes I have to try. That looks great!

Last night for dinner I used Pioneer Woman's sloppy joe recipe (with a few changes) -- it was delicious!

Yum! This looks so good and I love that it has a flair on Indian with lentils and garam masala. I really love Mama Pea's recipes.
