Keeps the cold and flu away?

A lot of people I know have been sick lately. I can't let it get me!!!

I ate that organic apple this morning when I first got up to hold me over until 11:15 brunch with my family:

The highlight of my week is always seeing my little nephew Giovanni. He was his usual adorable self at brunch this morning :-)

This afternoon I snacked on some edamame with sea salt, and some goat cheese with crackers:

Dinner at the in-laws was cream chicken with rice:

And a tiny piece of strawberry shortcake for dessert:

This week I will be busy planning and prepping for my 24, 24, 24 meal!!!! The hubby and I are having two other couples over for a Saskatchewan themed dinner party, and FoodBuzz is giving me $250 to make the evening happen!! The dinner will take place on Saturday, and I will post about it on Sunday.

What do you have planned for this week? How was your weekend?

This week I'm thinking badminton twice like last week. Just have to work out the deets. Oh and hopefully start running again.

This week the hubby and I have to write a talk we are giving for Pre Cana. Other than that-it should be a chill week!

Mmm... that strawberry shortcake is calling my name! No big plans for this week besides mentally preparing for my last long long run before the marathon. 21 miles on Sunday. Eek!! I can't wait to hear all about your dinner this weekend. I'm sure it's going to be fabulous! Have a great Monday!

Sounds like you had a full weekend! I have lots of dinners to cook with my sissy which will be fun. Then youth group with my jr high group and maybe the zoo with my nephew. Farmer's market and a kings game!

This past weekend went by far too quickly. I have nothing of particular excitement planned for the week - but I look forward to hearing about your dinner - I bet you'll have a blast!

Pancakes! I'd forgotton all about pancakes. I'm gonna have to make me some for brekkie tomorrow ... or maybe for tea tonight, if I can't wait. ;)

Can't wait to hear about your themed dinner party! I don't really have anything all that interesting planned for this week. It's the first week of Spring Break for me, so I'm trying to fit in all the boring stuff now and have a really relaxing time next week.

This week I have only food to look forward to. That sounds so pathetic - especially with being on Weight Watchers... Good thing I will also be working out each day. Steak night Tuesday, dinner at Golf's on Thursday and DINNER PARTY on Saturday - that is the one I am most excited for of course!!! Can't wait to see what you came up with in the end.

I hope you feel better! Is there something in your life that is stressing you out? I find that I get sick more often when I am stressed out.

This week my big amazing plans are to do homework. But not just any homework... research! I have three research papers to write within the next two weeks so I've been a busy bee!

Sounds like a fabulous meal! Strawberry Shortcake is one my most favorite things ever!!!

The highlights of my week include a concert on Wens night and a baby shower friday night and a possible MRI thrown in there at some point - fun times!

Im actually happy that the weekend is over...It was a very hectic weekend as it was both my husband's birthday and Persian New Year. SO it was all celebrating and celebrating and celebrating some more. Thanks for stopping by and paying a visit on my blog.

Chris & Jo,

Love the foodie blog. Everyday hey...

you are hardcore. :)

We loved your brunch you made when in Regina last time.

An apple first thing in the morning! That's pretty much the worst food for you first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, when you got a cold or flu.

The Dr. who teaches the nutrition class at the school says jokingly,

"An apple a day, keep the patients coming all day"

Take care of yourself hey. ;)

Peace

hope the dinner party goes well1

and whenever I don't want to run I give myself permission to quit...if I just get out there for the first 15 minutes. I feel like I have an "out" that way...but I've never stopped after that 15. :) mind games work!
