Chocolate Chewies

It was so nice to have the day off today!! I slept in, and then made a lovely breakfast featuring PB&Co. Dark Chocolate Dreams:

(1/2 cup coffee, 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla breeze, 1/2 cup quick oats, 1 heaping T dark choc. dreams, 1 t coconut).

Mmmm, mocha goodness.

I also had a fresh juice made with 1 grapefruit, 1 apple, and 1 red pepper:

I spent the afternoon doing some baking.
I made the lovely Chocolate Chewies that I saw on Jessica's blog.
You can find the recipe here.

I had about half of one, but I forgot to spray the pan, and couldn't get them off :-( . I also made another of Jessica's recipes ... but I will show you that one tomorrow once it is ready!

Lunch was some veggie sushi:

I went for dinner with a few girlfriends this evening. I had 2 drinks, and 2 appetizers. I enjoyed the Thai quesadilla, and the French onion soup. The lighting was terrible, so the pictures are awful (don't mind the flash):

I am off to bed early because the hubby is doing a splash and sprint race early tomorrow morning and we will be up at 6 am!

What do you have planned for the weekend?

Oh my gosh your breakfast looks amazing. I am totally adding coconut to my oatmeal now. How do you think of this stuff?! HAha.This morning the hubby and I are taking our pup to get her last set of shots, but then he works all day. SO later I am doing a huge workout and then making myself a nice healthy meal and reading till he comes home :)

Those chocolate chewies look divine!

The weekend is laid back from here on out since I ran a 5k this morning. Vegging, eating and church. I love long relaxing weekends, especially because they are so rare!!

I can't wait to go to NYC in two weeks to re-stock on PB and Co. peanut butter. I am out and really would like some now :)

That brand of peanut butter has a spicy version - I haven't found it in stores yet and can't justify the shipping cost!

It's my daughters birthday today! She wanted sausage biscuits with gravy, so the biscuits are in the oven now.

Hope your hubby's race went well!

I tried making those chocolate chewies a while ago and they turned out horribly for me! despite your pan issue, yours looked a whole lot better than mine :)
