What a beautiful weekend! It started out with a dinner at 13th Avenue Food & Coffee House on Friday.
I was happy that we ran in to pals (and the restaurant owners), Emanuela and Dalton. We enjoyed dinner while visiting with them and listening to the drum and didgeridoo duo that was playing outside.
Ema gave us a tour of the restaurant, which was cool, since I'd been eating there for years, but had never seen behind the scenes.
On Saturday we had a friend over for some BBQd eats before heading to see Alice in Chains in concert. We ate ribs with a Korean BBQ sauce, grilled portobellas, corn and potatoes with herbs and shallot oil.
How was your weekend?

Looks and sounds like a fun weekend! Your grilled food looks awesome! I had a wonderful time spending the weekend with a friend in the DC area. It was a low key weekend full of good conversations, which was just what I needed. And when I got back yesterday, I was able to grill in the 45 minute window when it stopped raining! Score!
Envious of your 13th ave trip, still haven't made it there since being home! But it's on the list for this week...gonna happen. That bbq meal sounds great - we did something very similar when we were out in Weyburn this weekend. Veggie burgers ftw!
My weekend was so good! It was great to have time with my brother. We are many years apart so I am just now really getting to know him.
Your weekend sounds awesome too!
Sounds like a fabulous weekend! I had a long weekend, which was nice, but I'm not ready to be back to work today!
