Outside

I think we skipped over spring in these parts, and just went right from winter to summer.  I've been trying to get outside as much as possible, because after the winter that we had, I don't want to waste one minute of the long-awaited sunshine and warmth

I love sitting on the deck and sipping beverages, and enjoying delicious meals cooked on the BBQ.

In for the close up ...

Smokies are always better once they split open!

I've slowly, but surely been getting the yard ready for an epic summer.  I pulled the fire-pit out of hibernation a few days ago in anticipation of many fires this summer.  I also used my extreme, expert, ninja skills to attack and obliterate the many, menacing spider nests tucked away in crevices along the carport and fences.  I'm determined to beat those hideous beasts!

We're planning to plant some herbs, flowers and tomatoes in the next couple of weeks, once we're guaranteed frost-free nights.  I'm looking forward to fresh mint for mojitos, chives for salads and baked potatoes, and cilantro for ... well ... everything.  Obviously

Is your yard ready for summer?  Are you planting anything this spring/summer?

I am glad nicer weather has arrived! It seems like so many areas have skipped right to summer! It's been a bit cool here lately but we are finally getting some sunny, gorgeous temps so I am hoping to do some grilling this weekend.

I planted a patio garden last year but it was kind of a flop so I am not planting anything this year. I hope your garden grows well!

We don't have a yard but I plan to spend as much time as possible on our roof by the pool!
You're super brave for tackling those spider nests. I would have just cried and run away, haha.

We're going on vacation in the beginning of June - so excited! It feels like we skipped over Spring here in PA also - it's crazy!

It's been summer here since January...ha ha ha. :) But today was the first day it felt like summer for real! Also kudos on your spider ninja-ing, I don't know if I'd be able to bring myself to do that. I'd probably just make someone else do it, ha ha.

YES! Mint for mojitos in my yard, too! Also basil. Love caprese salads...
