Last Few Days ...

I only have a couple days of holidays left until I am back to work and school.  I am trying to start the new year off organized, well rested, and ready to tackle anything that comes my way.  The hubby and I have been running errands, and getting our house cleaned up from Christmas.

Saturday evening I snacked on some fruit and olives, and then Sunday morning the hubby made me eggs and toast before I went into to work (by choice) to get myself organized.  When I am alone at work I feel very productive and can get things ready so that when I go back on Thursday I feel really prepared.

Sunday evening was dinner at the in-laws, where we had roast beef, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.

This morning the hubby went back to work, and I got down to business, cleaning the house, organizing my 2011 Calender, and doing laundry.  I fueled up in the morning with a Green Monster.

(Made with 1/2 frozen banana, bowl of lightly steamed  organic spinach, 2 pineapple rings, 1.5 cups Almond milk, 1 pack of organic wheat grass).

I also had 1 egg, and 2 whites for some protein.

Lunch was leftover Caribbean coconut rice with garbanzo beans and veggies.
Later in the day I snacked on some rutabagas.

This evening my dad, sister, and I went for supper to a restaurant called Mediterranean Bistro.
We split a lobster and crab dip.

I ordered the linguine polpetti, but took about 1/2 home in a doggy bag.

On the agenda for tomorrow:
  • Buy my textbooks for school this semester
  • Clean out my closet/ drawers
  • File/ organize paper work
  • Meal plan for the next couple weeks
  • Make something awesome for dinner
How do you get organized for the new year?  Do you do any "new year" cleaning?

To be honest I am feeling very UN ORGANIZED this year because I spent the entire weekend lazing around and watching Dexter!!

Must get some organization stuff done next weekend - my apartment is feeling very crowded with all of our new Christmas presents!

I don't really do anything differently in the new year. I try to plan things that I can look forward to so that I'm not totally depressed all winter long!

I REALLY need to do some cleaning. And I probably should get on top of unpacking from being home for Christmas considering I got back a week ago...

I usually move in December so that gets me organized but this year I stayed put so I did indeed do some New Year's cleaning. It was very nice to not have to box everything up for once!

I haven't done any 'new year' cleaning... I haven't even taken down my tree yet! I just couldn't find the motivation to do it this past weekend. Which is pretty bad, but oh well. It'll get done eventually... I really do need to tackle one of my closets and get rid of some stuff, but I need to be in an 'organizing mood'. This month is going to be so busy, I don't see myself getting much organizing done until maybe March?

I'm a fan of new year cleaning. It makes it a lot easier when I'm taking down the Christmas decorations!

Yorkshire puddings! thanks for reminding me- best things ever. also, i have a sneaking suspicion more people do an organizing/ spring cleaning in early January than in actual spring...

i am a super clean/organizing freak
i junk out the old, and bring in the new.
I find if I have too much clutter.. it makes me feel to much clutter in my life.. is that weird?? hahah

I love to be organized and have a clean house....but I hate organizing and cleaning my house. I wish I had an expendible income so I could hire someone to do all those things for me.

Also...that green monster looks YUMMY! Do you buy amazing grass online? I feel that I have asked you this before...lol.

Organized? what's that mean? :)
And house cleaning was biggest fail for me last year!

i've been sooo behind on cleaning and organizing it's disgusting. Glenn is still traveling for interviews so I'm using that as an excuse. Enjoy the rest of your vacay!! It's going to be a busy year for you!

If I had a house... or can I say when I had a house... I would go on a major cleaning kick. Oh! And start a new calendar!
