Old Dutch Caramel Corn

You can find the recipe on the back of this bag:

Make it.  You won't regret it.  It is healthy (I know this because it has the word "corn" in it.  Corn is a vegetable, therefore this recipe is good for you, and will make you smarter and prettier and awesomer).

Caramel Corn
(Recipe from Old Dutch)

- 1 cup butter (not margarine)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 bag popcorn twists (175 g)

Put the twists into a large roaster.

In a saucepan cook the butter, sugar and syrup for 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and add the baking soda.

Allow to cool slightly, then pour over twists.  Cover and bake at 250 F for 45 minutes (stirring every 15).
Remove and pour onto wax paper or a glass cutting board to cool.

Try to eat just one piece.  I dare you.

What is your easiest, BIGGEST hit recipe?
Link to it if you want to share!

Yes, this is health food to the power to twenty! Gahh want me some! Everyone like my "biscuit" doughnuts. I just buy those pilsbury frozen biscuits, make a hole with a bottle cap, and fry em. then I like to toss it in powdered sugar and cinnamon. Ok, I need to stop cause I'm drooling....

My daughter came over one night and brought a bag of these
*Old Dutch Popcorn Twists*
And I have been addicted since!
I have seen the recipe for the *Old Dutch Caramel Corn*
I have never had it before or made. Is it a sticky yucky messy thing to make, and is it a really sweet & sticky treat?
Please let me know! Thanks!

@ Llailya

It is not messy to make at all. Use a roaster. Stir every 15 minutes when in the oven (I like to use a wooden spoon). Once done pour out on to parchment or waxed paper to cool, then break it up and eat! It it is quite sweet, and just a little bit sticky, but totally addictive! You've got to try it!
