Say Hello to My Little Friend

This is the one souvenir we bought in the Dominican. We just thought it was so cute :-) It is super heavy, so we had to put it in our carry on and pretend like it was light.

I am feeling better today, and am over whatever stomach bug I had. I am just a little stuffed up now, with a bit of a head cold.

It is really hard being home from vacation ... especially when we came home to this:

Luckily our poinsettia survived the week we were gone. Our friend Karli gave this to us on December 5th, and it is still growing strong. Amazing - I had no idea they lasted so long!

Now on to eats ...

Breakfast was toast and eggs with hot sauce:

For lunch I had leftover chicken soup, source vanilla yogurt and a glo bar:

I was a bad blogger and forgot to take my camera out for supper. We went to The Rooftop for my sisters belated b-day dinner. I had baby back ribs, with sweet potato fries. I started with a spicy Thai soup. To drink I had a glass of red wine.

I have to go into work tomorrow all day to some marking done, and get myself organized for the new year ... so tonight I am going to just relax - maybe watch some TV and read some of my mags that came in the mail.

Are there any magazines that you read monthly? Weekly?

I mentioned a while back that when the hubby and I bought our house we completely gutted the main floor and re-did it. Stay tuned tomorrow for the BEFORE pics of our main floor, and then Sunday I will post the AFTER pics!

Hi welcome back from your holiday. I just got caught up on your last few posts I missed. It looks like you had a great time and I love the photos, especially the ones on the beach (oh how I wish I was on a sunny beach right now)
I thought the snow here was bad, looks like you have a lot more. The snow has really disrupted us in the UK and I've had a few tumbles on the ice.

So much snow! The only magazines I subscribe to are Health, Outside, and Bicycling. I regularly read Runners World (we get it at work) and I usually find myself buying InStyle and Real Simple. I probably just need to break down and get subscriptions!

Ugh - it's gotta be hard coming back from a beautiful sunny vacay to ALL THAT SNOW!!!

Love your souvenir :) I ordered myself two years of Runners World mangs for a Christmas present to myself so I'm excited to start reading that magazine regularly. Especially since I plan on running a marathon in 2010!
