Eggs with bacon:
Cinnamon buns:
And eats at one of the restaurants in the national park, The White House:
Our lunches included a potato/sausage hash:
Smokies:
And pizza at TR Mckoy's:
Our afternoons were usually spent visiting around the fire or on the deck, or kicking back and reading:
We each read a couple books over the five day trip, which was so nice. Listening to the birds chirp, munching on sunflower seeds, and devouring a book for a few hours each day was so relaxing.
One beautiful afternoon we went pedal boating on the lake:
We made s'mores ...
And Christopher's were much prettier than mine - haha!
Don't ask! I had a bit of difficulty getting the marshmallows off of the roasting sticks, and well ...
Christopher shared his with me, and I shared my lovelies with him 😆
We wandered for ice cream a couple of times:
And got a beaver tail down by the water:
When supper time rolled around we enjoyed chicken and rice:
Asparagus, corn, and bratwurst:
And a pizza from The Boardwalk:
All in all, it was a fantastic camping trip, and we're already looking forward to visiting Clear Lake again next year.
We arrived back home just in time for the weekend (and instantly went to meet our new nephew)!
Are you doing any camping this summer? If so, where?

Awesome camping posts!
I can't believe it's already been a year since you camped in an Otentik last year! I'm so happy to be camping in an Otentik next month. We tried to book a tent last year after reading your camping blogpost, but couldn't and then we drove to California so we didn't have time. This year we found one spot with two consecutive nights. We tried to find something for a longer time, but they were all booked!!! And this was in May!! Next year we may look outside of Alberta bc the national parks here are so BUSY!! We are so excited to experience Otentik camping. And your blog posts are so helpful for the kinds of food to pack and eat!
I love your blog, keep up the good work!!

I have never heard of Beavertails - must be a canandian thing? Looks like a fun getaway for you guys! Relaxing and reading outdoors sounds perfect to me! And all of the food you made looked awesome. Christopher does have you beat on s'mores construction but I am sure they both tasted awesome! I have not had a s'more yet this summer but will need to have one when I'm up at the lake with my brother, SIL and their kids next week! Luckily there are GF graham crackers so I can still get the whole experience (I used to just put the marshmallow between chocolate but it's better with the cracker, of course!)
Looks like so much fun and sooo relaxing! Love it! As mentioned before, I'm also super impressed by how well you guys ate while camping :)
