Korean Inspired Hamburgers

The other day we dreamed up some Korean inspired burgers.  Before cooking these however, we enjoyed some kimchi dumplings as an appetizer.

The burger patties were made with:

- Approx. 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 small package of seaweed, crumbled in
- A few grinds of pepper
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs

We also made a gochujang sauce with:

- 2 T gochujang
- T sake
- splash sesame oil
- splash soy sauce
- sprinkle of ginger powder

Also on the burgers - kimchi, and a fried egg sprinkled with sesame seeds.

What is your favourite burger topping?

Yum! Those look so good! My favorite condiment for a burger is a good, spicy dijon mustard. And then my favorite topping is probably melted cheddar cheese. I also like avocado on my burger!

Delicious! I really love pickles on my burgers. I'm hoping to try a new goat burger recipe next week so the toppings for that will be different than usual.

Oh hey, that's a good idea! I want to make a Korean-style veggie burger! We have a huge tub of gochujang to get through before we move to Toronto, so I'll try to remember this for later.
