New York, New York

On Saturday morning, our first full day back in NY, we headed to Nice Matin for breakfast.  I got the berries with yogurt and granola.

After breakfast we headed to Brooklyn to check out R&A Cycles, a bike shop that is supposed to be pretty good.  We got the best service from a guy named Felix.

He even took pictures for us as we posed.

We headed out of the bike shop to find some great Brooklyn pizza for lunch, and came across a box of free knives on the sidewalk ... only in NY.

We ended up at Francesco Pizzaria, which was incredible.

We shared an eggplant calzone to start and then got a large pepperoni, mushroom and basil pizza.

After lunch we came across a really old lady who told us that she walked about 10 blocks to get bread from Mazzola, so we followed her into this place.  We saw pastries with eggs in them, which looked interesting, but we just got coffees.

We headed back into Manhattan for dinner at Bread.

We had Pinkberry for dessert, and then ended the evening at a pub listening to a live band play 90s hip hop.  It was great.

On Easter Sunday we took some photos in the park as we headed to the Easter parade on 5th avenue.

We saw some old friends at the Easter parade, as well as some new faces ...

The dance group that we watched blew our minds.

The evening was spent with Guinness at a Karaoke bar.

How did you spend Easter?

Yum! You are most definitely eating well on this trip, which is awesome! Thanks for sharing these mouth-watering photos!

My Easter weekend was great. I spent part of it at my parents' new lake home, which was so relaxing for me. There is just nothing like being by the water, even when it's cold out!

Looks like a great weekend. Nice Matin is one of my neighborhood go to restaurants (I live on 72nd) and I love the sommelier. Next time you're in town go to Nice Matin for dinner and order a bottle of wine so that you can enjoy this view http://images.winespectator.com/wso/Articles/2010/ST_Turgeman_225.jpg. Hey you're married not dead ;)

I love that you guys have made your NYC trip annual! We haven't visited anywhere we loved enough (or could afford) to make it annual yet but i would love to have a special place like that to return to every year!

That is a souffle - I can't remember what kind, maybe asparagus, with a cheese sauce.

Oh, I've never had souffle before. It looked like some kind of dessert to me ;)

So sad I had to leave on Easter Sunday! I hope that next year I can check the parade out.

Hey, I think your website might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your website in Opera, it looks fine but when opening in
Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!
Other then that, fantastic blog!
