Spring Lovin'

This has been the most beautiful May that we can remember, and we're taking full advantage of it.  The yard is starting to look fantastic, and we're planting our flowers this weekend.  We've been BBQing most days.

This week we had a beer-bum chicken, with grilled potatoes and zucchini.  We let it cook low and slow on the BBQ while we sipped bevvies and visited for hours.  Beer-bum is the most moist chicken you can get.

This week we also grilled up a bunch of ribs and potatoes.  We made enough for two meals, as we both love ribs.

I don't like to bake much when it's so warm out, but ...

I have a pregnant sister-in-law who requested red-velvet donuts, and a husband who loves treats (a lot).  Needless to say, I happily did some baking this week.

There is nothing better than feeding those you love.

Things have been pretty tasty around here ...

And they're about to get a whole lot tastier.  We have a pretty fantastic dinner planned for tomorrow evening!

What are you up to this weekend?

That is great that you have had awesome weather in May. Ours has been kind of all over the place - some great days, some really cold days. We have had some meals on the grill, though, but not as many as I'd like. I am hoping Phil buys a grill soon as it will help to have easy access to one at his place as right now we have been using the grills in the commons area of my condo building.

I'm looking forward to hearing what you are making for dinner tonight! Tonight we have a wedding of Phil's coworkers. I've met his coworkers several times so I am excited for the wedding as they are all such fun people. Tomorrow is Phil's mom's birthday so we will have dinner with her to celebrate.
