Night on the Town

So yeah ... remember all that shoveling I did yesterday?  I woke up this morning and it was like it had never happened.  All the shoveled spots were covered in snow about three times higher than I had initially shoveled.  Since the snow was still falling heavily today I decided to leave it and tackle it tomorrow.

This evening I met up with a bunch of friends at Bushwakker for dinner and drinks.  I caught a cab, since there was no way I was going to take my car out in the crazy snow.

I had a taco salad for dinner, and oatmeal stout to drink.

It doesn't look that appetizing, but it was pretty good.

The later part of the evening was spent at an Irish pub for some live music and more bevvies.  I had a great time, and I can't get over how much I love my friends.  They are family to me.

What did you do on your Saturday evening?  Is it a long weekend for you?  Any fun plans?

There is so much damn snow. Mike and I went out to a housewarming party last night and got stuck...the place was like 5 minutes away. On the plus side, there were three people who immediately came to help, nothing like snowstorms to bring out the goodwill in people. :) I love Bushwakker's veggie burger!! And their beer of course.

The taco salad looks delish to me! I would never be able to drive in that snow. You amaze me that you do it all the time!
My Saturday evening was laid back. We went to dinner in DC with Tom's parents (the food was excellent) and then turned in early because we had a busy day today.

Yesterday afternoon we took the kids to Wreck-It Ralph, braving the snow and crazy streets. We spend the evening in and watched Arthur Christmas, another kid movie, but it was really funny. Definitely recommend. Stay warm! Hopefully we won't get more snow for a bit...

I was in Austin this weekend, so I went out for BBQ with the couple I was visiting. It was so yummy!
