Breakfast in Vegas

I don't always go out for a nice breakfast while on vacation.  Sometimes grabbing a quick bite from a deli is sufficient, but other times I want a sit down breakfast.  Since Vegas is not New York, and the convenience of delis is nonexistent, we enjoyed sit down breakfasts each day in Las Vegas.

The first breakfast was included in our cheap booking (we got a $50 credit for food or drink in the hotel, and tickets to a show - good seats too).  We chose to check out the hotel buffet.  It was huge and offered breakfast foods, lunch foods, pasta, pizza, meats, Mexican dishes, Chinese food etc..  I had 2 plates:

The next day we went down to Fremont Street and ate at a popular restaurant called Hash House a Go Go in The Plaza hotel.  This restaurant is known for it's massive portions, and was featured on Man vs. Food.

I had the meatloaf hash.  Mmmmm, it was fabulous!  I skipped the biscuit, but ate both eggs and about 1/3 of the meatloaf/potato/veggie mixture.

Our next breakfast was enjoyed at Thomas Keller's Bouchon I ordered my eggs soft poached and they were the most perfectly poached eggs I have ever had.  I was very impressed.

We sipped mimosas and coffee and finished the meal with a chocolate croissant.

Most of these breakfasts were actually lunch as they were eaten at noon, or even later.  Ahhh, vacation.

Do you sit down for full breakfasts on vacation, or are you more likely to just run to a coffee shop or deli and grab something to-go?  How do you like your eggs cooked?

When I was in Vegas in May, I really wanted to catch breakfast at a couple places, but we tended to, uh, stay out all night and sleep in kinda late. :) Which would normally be all well and good but I'm pretty sure the one or two places with vegan breakfasts had a cut-off around 11. When I can though, I love sit-down breakfasts!

I usually like to sit down for big breakfasts, since traveling for me is all about food. But my dad hates breakfast so if we're traveling with him, we usually do something more low key. Those all look great!

MMM Hash House! We went to the one inside Imperial Palace once, it was delicious. Huge portions though, we could have split one meal between 4 people!

It kind of depends on the trip for me. When i am alone, I opt for coffee and a yogurt parfait or something like that. If I am with others, we tend to do a big brunch and then have a big dinner - so 2 meals instead of 3. All of it looks delish!!

Fascinating blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog shine.
Please let me know where you got your design. Bless you
