Rainy Days and Mondays ...

L

ast Monday with students
today, and the First Day of Summer! I can't believe how fast this school year has gone by. I am so excited for the summer holidays, but I will also be sad that my class is moving on to high school. This is the first class I have had for the ENTIRE year, from the first day to the very end.

I started my day out with a chocolate grass smoothie (1 cup unsweetened chocolate almond breeze, 1 pack Amazing Grass Amazing Meal, 1 T almond butter, 1 banana):

Lunch was macaroni, cherries, yogurt with granola, a couple taco chips with dip and a bite of fudge (treats on staffroom table):

This afternoon it poured rain outside. It is still raining a bit, and the skies are black. There are tornado warnings in effect for my city today.

Dinner was lasagna and garlic bread:

With a grapefruit for dessert:

I hope the weather clears up before tomorrow, because we are supposed to be going to the park for the day to swim/ play etc..

Have you ever experienced a tornado?

I haven't.

I've seen small twisters but never a big tornado like on the movies. That would be scary!

I love lasagna + garlic bread.

I've never experienced a tornado, but my husband is from Ohio and I hear all of the stories about the sirens and such, lol.

I've never been affected by a tornado, but here in South Florida I've had my fair share of hurricanes and the occasional water spout that's too weak to become a tornado on land.

Happy Summer!

Never been in a tornado and doubt I could handle that! Have a great start to your summer!

Yep. Where I live, they are common during the spring. I have spent many hours hunkered down in basements before. We had tornado drills in school even.

I haven't experienced one. I can't imagine how scary it must be!

When I was in Minnesota we had a warning. The sky was green and the weather was awful. I was terrified!!!

A tornado just ripped through Leamington 2 weeks ago (not far from where I live) and basically tore down all the trees in a huge stretch of the town.

I've definitely experienced many tornados. They are scary and you should always take the proper safety precautions. You never know when you could be hit out of the blue! I hope you're okay!

Happy summer to you! I hope you get to enjoy it.

I haven't experienced a tornado, but I think California makes up for it with earthquakes. Does that count?

Tornados are my absolute worst fear! I've been near one but never IN one, thank God.
