There's a delicious new ice cream place in town! We stopped by Dandy's Artisan Ice Cream last week and tried a flight. For a flight you get four kid's sized portions, which is a great way to taste multiple flavours.
It was difficult to choose which kinds we wanted, as they all sounded delicious. The ice cream is made in-house, using local ingredients, one batch at a time. The flavours are interesting and unique, and the toppings are all homemade as well. There are vegan options, and choices that are gluten and allergy-friendly.
We ended up choosing browned butter shortbread, olive oil sponge cake, espresso almond biscotti, and cereal milk with caramelized bananas. My favourite of these four was the browned butter shortbread. I was hoping the cereal milk one would have had more of a cereal milk taste (like Milk in Las Vegas), but the caramelized banana flavour was much more pronounced, which wasn't a bad thing; I was just looking for something to fill my craving for the cereal milk ice cream I got hooked on during our last trip to Vegas.
All in all, we loved Dandy's, and we're looking forward to going back soon! I cannot wait to try the coconut ash honeycomb, and rosemary caramel popcorn.
Have you gone for ice cream yet this Spring?

Yum! That ice cream flight is super fun! We have some local places here that we love. Our favorite is Sebastian Joe's. We haven't had any since last fall, though. We'll have to go sometime soon now that the weather is warming up! My favorite is anything salted caramel or anything with chocolate and peanut butter.
