Seven Random Things

1)  We needed something little to hold us over until dinner on Sunday, so we picked up a Beyond Meat burger from A&W.  It was great!  I think you could fool any meat lover with this burger; it's impressive how well they perfected the texture, look and taste.

2)  Yesterday we woke up to a little buddy in our yard ...

Oh, and also snow 😝

Fortunately the snow is basically gone today.

3)  The other day I accidentally deleted a bunch of photos off of my camera that I hadn't uploaded yet, including the finished product of this chicken dish:

And the outcome of this white chocolate, coffee blondie batter:

Ooops!  Anyway, both turned out well.  The chicken dish had fennel, lemon, and olives in with it, and tasted great over teff.  The blondie recipe was from a Best of Bridge cookbook, but you can find the recipe here.

4)  We're getting so excited for our trip to Thailand that is coming up!  This is the type of trip we've been longing to take for what feels like forever.  Everything lined up for us this year.

5)  Christopher and I were running a few errands about a week ago, and found ourselves in the south end of town, seriously in need of a snack.  We stopped at Chopped Leaf, and shared this healthy bowl and a kombucha:

6)  Dinner this evening was perogies with farmers sausage cooked in sauerkraut.

7)  I am currently obsessing over the song Rumour Mill by Rudimental ft. Anne-Marie and Will Heard.  I have serious fear of missing out (FOMO) when it comes to music (and food), so I am always on the lookout for what might become my new favourites.  I spend my mornings listening to new songs on YouTube, and then seeing where those take me.  A couple of weekends ago Christopher and I went down the YouTube rabbit hole all afternoon, and found some new-to-us tunes that we're loving, including Rumour Mill

How is your week going so far?
Have you tried the Beyond Meat burger?
What song are you loving right now?

I read about these Beyond Meat burgers in our paper this week. I think Burger King is rolling them out here in the US. Good to know that you couldn't even tell they weren't meat!!

Our week has been pretty quiet so far. The weather has been so so but we didn't get snow so I won't complain! I'm just ready for warmer temps and sunshine! But we leave for Florida next week so soon enough we will be soaking up some rays!

I never listen to music anymore as I'm always listening to podcasts when I have downtime!!

I had a Beyond Meat Burger a couple weeks ago and really really liked it. A&W feels like "fancier" fast food to me these days and usually where we opt to go if we're getting fast food. Can't wait to read all about your trip to Thailand and all the foods you guys will be trying!
