Summer Eats

My summer eats are often quite different than the hearty meals I eat when it's cooler outside.  I love dishes that don't require the oven, such as turkey done on a BBQ rotisserie.

Patio lunches with friends ...

Lobster club sandwich at The Rooftop
And sandwiches ... I am totally loving sandwiches these days:

I grew the sprouts myself! (mango on the side)
If the sandwich has an egg on it ... even better.

Tomorrow I have another lunch planned with friends, and then dinner will be something done on the BBQ - not sure what yet though ... suggestions?

What is your favourite thing to BBQ?
What are your "summer eats" like?

My summer eats tend to be simpler foods that sometimes don't require cooking. I sometimes feel sick after runs due to the heat/intensity of the workout, so I will have random dinners, like a smoothie and a cucumber cut up!

My favorite thing to BBQ is probably vegetables, like zucchini and portabella mushrooms!

I'm loving sandwiches right now too! I think burgers and peppers are my favorite things to bbq.

Mmm, sammiches. I've been kind of in love with them this summer too. Your sprouts look freaking beautiful! I was trying to grow broccoli sprouts and kept failing. :( But at least alfalfa and clover work out!

Honestly though, I don't eat that differently in the summer. I still make soups (just a little less frequently), I still use the stove lots. The only time I seem to get hit with seasonal eating is in the fall!

Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the pictures on this blog loading?
I'm trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it's

I do agree with all the ideas you have offered on your post.
They're really convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for starters. May just you please extend them a bit from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.
