Evenings in NY

Most New Yorkers eat dinner late.  Around 9:00.  For after dinner entertainment the options are endless.  One evening we went to The Comedy Cellar, and another a Broadway show.  We also spent some time listening to live music in pubs.

One evening after a lovely Italian dinner ...

We went to a live music venue called Groove.

This place is known for its R&B, Funk and Soul music.  We heard a bit of each and enjoyed every second of it.  The musicians played some original music and some covers.

They made me want to Groooooooove!  I loved the girl's tattoo in the last picture (of a Phoenix).  If I ever got a tattoo, it would be something like that.

Do you have any tattoos?  What are they of?
Is there a lot to do in your city in the evening?

New York! Looks like you've been having a blast. It's funny you mention the tattoo thing - I've never really wanted one (commitment phobia? ha ha) until recently, when I discovered the most perfect tattoo for me ever. It's this awesome, colorful stylized tornado that would span the entire bottom half of my leg. It's amazing. I'm in love.

I have a tattoo on my right hip that says Que Sera Sera.
There's definitely a lot to do in DC at night, but I imagine it's nothing like NYC.

I do not have any tattoos and will never get one! They are just not for me - too permanent or something!

Minneapolis has an ok night life. It's not something it's known for, but we did get a lot of great concerts here and have great, small venues. So for a smaller bigger city, I think we do pretty well!

Ameena - Can't remember the name of it ... but it actually wasn't that great. I wouldn't go back.
