My World

Things that have been going on in my world:

1) The hubby and I went to see Sir Elton John in concert last night, and I was super impressed.

2) I finally found coconut milk in a carton, and have been using it in my oatmeal and smoothies.

3) I sent my reply to my sister re: her wedding and I am having the trout for my meal.  Steel head trout is my favourite kind of fish.  We also had it for supper yesterday.

4) I roasted a chicken this evening.  We ate some of it, and the rest was used in a soup that I will be serving tomorrow when we have a couple friends over for dinner.

5) I only have 28 days left with students before two months of summer holidays!
Where did the year go?

What has been going on in your world?

Yay for summer break almost here !!!
How are you making your smoothies with the coconut milk? I tried the milk and just couldn't get past the taste... It's indescribable.. Eeeww! But maybe mixing with with some other things, I could make it taste more fruity or something..

Have a fabulous weekend !

I took yesterday off to study for that test I am taking. Whichc ellicited comments of, 'really? You used a vacation day to study?' sort of comments from some people. Yah, I know, not exactly the best way to spend a vacation day. I am aware of that. But the fact that I took a DAY OFF FROM WORK to study should signal to you that this is kind of a big deal, so I don't need any comments.

End rant. ;)

As usual, your food looks delish! I made my first smoothie this week and it did not turn out so hot. I need to do some tweaking. might get some coconut milk as I think I'd like that!

Another one of your famous dinner parties coming right up hey? I cannot WAIT to see the spread :-)

Do you like the coconut milk? I only kind of like it in smoothies but I think it makes better oats than any other kind of milk!

I agree with Laura,
you always have the best dinner parties!!

It's hard to believe school is almost over, I can't believe I'm graduating in a month!! What a year!!

Only thing going on in my life is I am finished week 2 of my practicum. I am loving it. I'm at a Middle School and working as an Education Assistant, both with special needs students and in academic class rooms!! LOVE it!

Have a great weekend!

Another great post! But more questions now - what was the other meal choice versus trout for the wedding? (I haven't it forever and used to love fried trout).

I found Coconut Milk in a carton in my store recently too - I was surprised though it's from So Delicious (I think ?) - a brand I see on blogs - but there is sugars and stuff in it - I bought it anyways of course :) but I know the cans don't usually have that?
