I am really loving our 2018 calendar, since celebrating every moment is kind of our thing. We always use a paper calendar, and we both write in it regularly, keeping track of all appointments, meetings, events, and social engagements, as well as scheduling some do-nothing weekends.
2) I took some cinnamon buns out of the freezer and have been enjoying those for breakfasts lately, with a smoothie on the side. The smoothies always have coconut water, fruit, and a big handful of greens - gotta get the veggies in!
3) We had veggies for dinner one evening last week:
And a bunch in dak galbi, which we had on Thursday:
4) On Sunday evening Christopher's parents treated us to a pizza dinner at Canadian Brewhouse. The pizzas there were fantastic! We don't often go to sports bars, but we will be back for the pizzas for sure.
5) Someone gave Christopher deer sausage recently, so we had that for supper one evening, and shared a calzone-sized perogy on the side.
6) One of my Christmas gifts from my sister-in-law was a winter tea sampler from David's Tea.
We tried the banana nut bread tea on the weekend - yum! I love nutty, chocolaty, coconut, or super earthy (think dirt) flavours of tea.
7) Speaking of tea, I take two to work every day (usually mint, sometimes turmeric).
I also fill up that water bottle about four times throughout the day.
Not sure what it is about work, but I constantly need to be hydrating when I am there. Seriously, it's constant.
8) We found these carrot chips during our last trip to the grocery store:
They are gluten free, trans and saturated fat free, and have 6g of fibre in a serving. I thought they were addictive, but Christopher thought they were a little bland. They have some parsnip ones too, so we might try those next.
9) After work today we were both super hungry, so we had a little snack, and snuggled up on the couch to visit and watch Jeopardy for a while.
10) On Sunday I made oatmeal for breakfast.
I used 1/2 cup of oats, 1 cup of liquid (coffee and coconut water), and then a variety of toppings. This made enough for a cozy little breakfast for two.
How was your weekend? How is your week going so far?
Have you ever tried any non-traditional chips?
Do you use a calendar? Paper or digital?

I am definitely a paper calendar kind of person. I have a bullet journal to keep track of the details of my life and we also have a wall calendar in our kitchen. I'm the only one that writes on it, though, as Phil doesn't have any appts ever (lucky him!) and I do all the social planning for the most part. My SIL makes a family calendar on shutterfly with family photos every year and I just LOVE it. It's so fun to flip to a new month and see a new batch of photos of my nieces and nephews!
I have tried some non-traditional chips. My favorite are the sweet potato tortilla chips at Trader Joe's. They are soooo good! Although I feel bad talking about them since you don't have trader joe's so can't try them!
This has not been the best week... I'm having some issues in my hip/groin area that is partially related to the pregnancy but more so related to an imbalance that happened after my hip surgery. Walking is extremely painful so I am at home on the couch. Luckily I can work from home as much as I need to so I am very lucky to have that option! Hopefully I will be able to walk without too much pain soon.
