On Tuesday we made a soup stock with veggies and a ham bone (that we had frozen from the ham we made recently). We then used that to make a big pot of borscht, which we served topped with dill and sour cream.
We had enough soup for lunches for a couple days, and dinner for both Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Thursday evening we had pan seared salmon over wild rice, with a coconut curry sauce.
I baked some Saskatoon berry muffins this week:
And we tried these new kale chips, which we both really liked:
Yesterday Christopher and I met up for lunch at a new place in town, Bomb. It's basically a Korean fast food restaurant. We each had a bomb bowl, and they were pretty good, however not work the $15-$17 price tag. Lunch for two came to $35.
It is way overpriced for a fast-food-type restaurant, seeing as I can get more authentic Korean food, in a hot stone bowl, at a sit-down Korean restaurant for about $13.
Last night we met up with some pals for tacos, and then Christopher's band played a Halloween show, so we came home to get ready before heading out to the venue.
They have another Halloween show tonight, so we'll be dressing up and heading out for more spoooooktacular, dancy fun.
Are you going out to any Halloween parties this weekend?
Are you dressing up for Halloween?
