Belated Thanksgiving Dinner

Yesterday we had a belated Thanksgiving dinner at Christopher's parents' home.  It was the first time since our two nieces on that side were born, that we've all gotten together as a family (10 of us now)!

We snacked and visited a bit when we first got there.  Our nieces (who are just over one and just over two) ran around a lot, and kept the whole family entertained with their adorableness.

The in-laws cooked up an amazing spread including turkey, stuffing, roasted potatoes, parsnips, mixed veggies, cabbage rolls etc. ...

I was stuffed after this fabulous, filling meal.

Dessert included pumpkin pie and "dad's dessert", which is a warm, delicious fruit concoction that is served with vanilla ice-cream.  Wow!

What a lot of work to cook all this up and host everyone; we are sure thankful for Christopher's parents for having the whole family over for this wonderful meal.

Today is a special day, so we're ordering in - more on that in the next post.

What are you thankful for today?

Yum! That Thanksgiving meal looks amazing! That is my favorite kind of meal. How fun that Christopher's family is expanding. It's great to have little kids around, especially around the holidays as they bring extra joy and excitement (and ok, some chaos) to celebrations!

Today I am Thankful for the travel opportunities I've had and have ahead of me!
