Love Notes

My husband wakes up earlier than me (not like that's difficult), and often leaves me notes, such as "Don't forget the treats for your students", or "Please start the dishwasher."

These are always left in the kitchen, where I am sure to see them.
On the coffee pot usually.
Today my note was left on another well-loved appliance.
(Funny, he never seems to leave me notes on the iron ...)

In case you can't read the hubby's chicken scratch, or cannot believe your eyes, the note does in fact say:

"It's really cold out today.  -27 and -39 with the wind.  Love ya."

This temperature means the same thing in Celsius or Fahrenheit = BLOODY FRIGID.  The only saving grace was that we had this soup cooking in the slow cooker to make for a comforting evening meal.

Please tell me it is warmer where you are!

Aw, it's funny how such simple notes can be so sweet.

And have no fear, it's warmer where I am. =) We're at 48*F right now, but it will drop to about 35 later. Still, I'm freezing!

Ah, the old Canadian winters - and Saskatchewan gets some of the worst of it for sure! I don't pity you! :) It was only about -10 here this morning but we had a bit of snow. I think the coldest it's gotten so far is -20, but I'm hoping we can stay away from that for awhile! Stay warm!

This week has been nuts, hey? Oh well, I don't remember a single winter that's passed by without crazy death windchills, so I guess it's to be expected. That's so cute how your husband leaves you random notes like that!

Awww, so cute.

We obviously had nasty weather here in Saskatoon, too. Monday was the coldest: -38, -48 with the wind chill. Stayed cold for the rest of the week. Guess we can't complain too much, though, since it's been so nice this winter and it's supposed to warm up again soon!
