Mmmm, Cheese.

We had a GREAT time at the cheese party last night, and we were out far too late!

Before we went to the party, we had a light dinner of roasted veggies and salmon:

The salmon was so fresh, and perfectly cooked. Nom nom nom.

At the party I had a couple glasses of this:

The spread was absolutely wonderful, with many kinds of cheese, and some delicious tapas.

I had about 2 grapes from this lovely fruit platter:

One little bite size piece of this potato dish:

Probably about 10 of these tortilla chips dipped in this tasty taco dip:

2 pieces of calamari dipped in a homemade aioli:

And then I nibbled at all of this cheese (and about 5 Cheesies) throughout the night:

I had about 4 crackers and maybe 5 squares of bread:

Later on in the night I had 2 mimosas made with POM Wonderful and Henkell Trocken:

After a wonderful night with friends we came home and crashed until this morning when we were awoken by a phone call asking if we wanted to go for brunch (with my family).
Ummmmm yeah!

I had the "Wake - Up" breakfast:

I ate about 1/2 of it, and drank my weight in coffee.

I had a wonderful afternoon shopping!!!!! The hubby and I bought new drinking glasses from Costco, a leather chair for our computer desk also from Costco, a bunch of new cushions from Winners, some guest towels for our basement bathroom, and a giant piece of art for our living room. Ooooh, spending money just gives me a rush! Hehe. I need to do it more often.

I refueled with a Lara Bar this afternoon:

Now they hubby and I are playing with our nephew, then we are going to do some grocery shopping and head to hubby's parent's for dinner.

How has your Sunday been? What have you done today?

I had a costco trip today too! I always end up buying something ridiculous and then I have to make it every day for two weeks. Today I bought 10lbs of sweet potatoes...

Wow, that looks like a DELICIOUS spread. I would have been all over that fruit platter, I love blackberries, and cheese, and salmon! I'm so jealous Jolene, those are 3 of my favorite foods and I have none of the 3 in my fridge. Ok I have cheese, but it's boring cheese. I want sexy cheese.

The cheese party looks amazing- love all the variety. I haven't done much today, it was a mission to get my new phone and now I'm doing homework, while blogging.

Well, I spent about 4 hours freaking out because I missed my flight and didn't know whether I'll be let into the last flight...but other than that, my sunday was amazing!

Wow, what a delicious spread! What is that potato thing exactly? It looks amazing!

Sophia - I forget what the potato thing is called ... it is a Spanish dish I believe. It was thin layers of potato and some kind of spices, and one of the most popular Spanish tapas.

Sophia - the potato dish was Tortilla Espanola. It was my first time making it - next time I will know to use a non-stick pan...

A cheese party sounds like fun, I've been meaning to host one like that! I had to take my daughter to two birthday parties - same time, same place, half an hour difference; too much drama but the bonus is the double cake :)

That breakfast looks too yummy. BTW I've never tried a mimosa with Pom. I need to try it now!
