Good evening bloggy faces. Can you believe it is already November! Where has the year gone!? I have really found that as I get older, the time seems to fly by faster and faster. It seems like we just had Christmas, and now I am already looking forward to another Christmas season - but I am not complaining - I LOVE Christmas!!

I was in the mall this past weekend looking for Halloween stuff, when I noticed that the shelves were bare of Halloween products and were starting to fill up with Christmas chocolates, gifts, and wrap. I must admit - it made me giddy! I cannot wait to start Christmas shopping, and baking, and decorating!! Ooooooh, there is nothing better in my opinion! When do you start getting in the Christmas spirit? For me, it is right after Halloween!

This morning for breakfast I had mocha, banana oats:

- 1/4 cup chocolate milk, 1/4 cup coffee, 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 pureed banana
- coconut and Chia seeds sprinkled on top

Lunch was leftover mac and cheese from supper last night:

And an apple:

This evening for dinner I had a Banquet for my professional confederation and union. I did not feel like it was appropriate for me to take a photo of my dinner in front of all my superintendents, etc. - you understand :-)

This is what I ate:
  • 2 slices roast beef
  • 1/2 cup mashed potato
  • 1/4 of a bun with margarine
  • 1/4 cup garden salad with Italian dressing
  • 3 T pasta salad
  • 1/2 a small cabbage roll
  • 1 glass red wine
  • 1 mini brownie
The hubby has been busy working in our basement lately - painting baseboards, and putting them on, putting together our built-in computer desk, installing the suspended ceiling etc.. I look forward to the day (in the VERY near future) when I can have my hubby back! (And to when I can show you all the before and after pics!!!!)

Fortunately he just asked if I wanted to watch a show with him :-) We love catching up on our PVR'd shows! Which shows do you PVR? or TIVO? Or Tape?

I've got everybody coming for Christmas this year so I actually started shopping a couple months ago- got some good deals too! Want to concentrate on cooking, decorating and enjoying the season in December and not panic about gifts.

I remember when Christmas decorations were not put up in stores until Thanksgiving!

Ha, I wonder what your coworkers would have thought if they say you taking pictures of everything you ate! Does anyone at work know you have a blog? I always debate about telling people!...

Barbara - Thanksgiving is over in Canada, so maybe that's why they put everything out already here!

Simply Life - No one at work knows yet, but I don't mind if they do ... usually I take pics before I leave home of my lunch/ snacks, so it hasn't come up yet.

Hmmm, that's a new twist on oats that I'm gonna have to try!

I don't tape any of my shows, I just *try* to watch them at their regular time every week. I only watch four shows so usually I'm successful! Haha

we've got ondemand (part of our digital cable) so we use that because we always forget when stuff is on... HBO series espsecially!

On Halloween night we were busy (we were at the same party so you know that)but HBO was playing a True Blood (Season Two) marathon. It was to go from 7 until 1 am. We do not have anything fancy like TVR so we tried to tape on the good old VCR. The tape said six hours but it only taped two! Now what am I going to do? Arrgh! It is the one show I am obsessed with right now...that is until Big Love starts in the new year. I love HBO!

I'm not really the type to get too excited about Christmas. My family has a lot of drama, so it's always so stressful.

I used to tivo almost everything, but I gave up tivo to save money so now I have to watch TV in real time, haha.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year, but I try not to get too into it too early or I'll get sick of it. I usually get into it at the beginning of December when my friends and I all try take the same week off work and go Christmas shopping.
